Refurbishment Line Optimization Study
Your line runs. It produces. But you know — you feel — that somewhere in the sequence, there's a bottleneck. A station where work piles up. A step that takes too long. A handoff that loses units. You don't need someone to tell you where it is. You need someone to tell you how to fix it.
The Refurbishment Line Optimization Study is a deep-dive engagement. Over two weeks, a PBR process engineer works with your team to:
- Map your current refurbishment process end-to-end — every station, every handoff, every decision point
- Collect cycle-time data at each station — your team times it, we provide the data collection template
- Identify the throughput bottleneck and the secondary constraints behind it
- Model the impact of potential solutions — add a station? re-sequence steps? batch vs. single-piece flow? parallelize testing?
- Deliver a prioritized optimization plan with projected throughput gains and implementation difficulty
You receive: a current-state process map, a bottleneck analysis with data, a future-state process design with projected throughput, a ranked list of improvement actions (highest impact, lowest cost first), and an implementation roadmap with 30/60/90-day milestones.
This is what PBR does internally when we add a new line or scale an existing one. One study. One report. Enough information to double throughput — or at least to stop guessing about why Friday afternoons always back up at testing.
