Cosmetic Grading Standard — Photo Reference Library

One tech's "minor scratch" is another tech's "unacceptable damage." One customer's "like new" is another's "clearly used." Without a photographic standard, grading is personal opinion. With one, it's objective.

This is PBR's internal cosmetic grading standard — a photo library of what we mean by Grade A, B, and C across screen, housing, frame, and rear glass for the six most-refurbished device families.

Each grade is defined with:

• A written description — e.g., "Grade B housing: light scuffs visible under direct light, no dents, no paint loss"
• Reference photos showing the upper and lower boundary of each grade
• A borderline case gallery — "this one is debatable; here's how we call it at PBR"

Digital download. 80+ reference photos. Updated when new device generations enter our refurb line. For the shop that wants to stop having the "is this Grade A or B?" conversation. For the customer who wants to show their buyers exactly what to expect. Print it. Post it. Grade against it.
